Botulinum toxin type A is injected into the affected areas, typically the underarms, palms, or soles of the feet. The Botox works by blocking the nerve signals responsible for triggering sweating in those areas. This effectively reduces excessive sweating and provides relief from the associated discomfort and social embarrassment.
